Founded in 1995, Small Steps serves some of Houston’s youngest and most at-risk children. We were tasked with redesigning their website, which had become difficult to navigate over the years. Parents and prospective clients struggled to find the information they needed due to a confusing site structure.
In addition to improving the user experience, we also addressed the challenge of a limiting brand identity. While working on wireframes, we began building a stronger brand, introducing a new color palette inspired by the psychology of color for children and incorporating typefaces that better aligned with their audience and mission. The result was a more intuitive website that not only improved functionality but also enhanced the overall brand presence.
